Privacy Policy

Pledgr (“the app”) is an expense tracking app made by Mad Over Tech. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your money data belongs to you, stays on your device and in your private iCloud, and we never see it.

Data you create in the app

Expenses, income, transfers, accounts, budgets, debts, notes, tags, photo receipts, and reminder settings are stored:

On your device, in the app’s local database.
In your private iCloud database (CloudKit), if iCloud is enabled on your device. This storage is tied to your Apple ID; Mad Over Tech has no access to it. Apple’s iCloud terms and security apply.

We operate no servers and have no account system. We cannot read, receive, sell, or share your financial data — it never reaches us.

Advertising

Pledgr shows a small banner ad served by Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect device identifiers, coarse ad-performance data, and diagnostics to serve and measure ads. Your financial data (transactions, accounts, budgets, debts) is never shared with advertisers.

Pledgr does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency tracking; we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Your ad privacy choices

Where privacy law gives you a say over how advertising data is used, Pledgr offers that choice through Google’s consent tool. The option appears in the app’s Settings as Ad privacy choices (iPhone and iPad) or Ad privacy options (Android) in the regions where it applies.

EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: the first time you open the app, you are asked whether Google and its advertising partners may store and access information on your device and use it for personalized ads. No ads are requested until you have answered. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Settings; withdrawing does not affect anything that happened before.
US states with privacy laws (such as California): we do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat letting an advertising partner use a device identifier for personalized ads as a “sale” or “sharing”. You can opt out from Settings, and we do not treat you differently for doing so.
Everywhere: you can limit ad personalization on your device. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) to reset or delete your advertising ID.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or under US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used.

Your Pledgr data: it lives on your device and in your own iCloud, so you exercise these rights yourself using the export and delete options below. Mad Over Tech holds no copy.
Advertising data: it is collected and held by Google, not by us. Use the ad privacy choices above, or Google’s tools at https://myadcenter.google.com. Google may process this data outside your country, as described in its privacy policy.
Email: if you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, and use it only to reply. Ask us to delete it at any time.

Mad Over Tech is the controller for the limited processing described in this policy. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data export & deletion

Export: Settings → Export backup file saves your entire dataset as JSON at any time, and Analysis lets you export any period as CSV.
Delete: Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data can be managed in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud. Restoring a backup replaces the current dataset.

This website

pledgr.madovertech.io sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. As with any website, our hosting provider (Google Cloud) processes your IP address to deliver the pages, and the fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Children

Pledgr is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
